Rare pair of Dulton stools by Yasu Satamoto

Rare pair of Dulton stools by Yasu Satamoto for Dulton Co. (Japan, 1970s).

A striking and unconventional pair of chrome stools designed by experimental Japanese designer Yasu Satamoto for Dulton Co. The concept is both playful and industrial: a sculptural tractor seat mounted onto a drummer’s stool base, executed in stainless steel.

The stools are easily foldable and collapsible, making them practical as well as visually distinctive.

They remain in good vintage condition, showing a beautiful patina with light, age-related rust marks. We have chosen to preserve this finish to enhance their authentic character, but they can of course be polished and the rust removed upon request.
