The Safari chair designed by Kaare Klint for Rud Rasmussen, a true design classic made in Denmark, 1950s.
The chair was greatly influenced by the furniture used by the military on their international campaigns. Klint had witnessed how the pieces were created, assembled and used on his many international travels, and was inspired by their practicality. This is one of the first furniture pieces that can be assembled without any tools.
This particular piece is in good vintage condition with a nice patina on the canvas and leather. On the back of the seat is a tear in the fabric, visible on pictures.
